Newsflash 4

What's realistically doable? Be realistc. Moving a billiard table, or an antique piano is not what we will normally handle. These are jobs ouside of the scope of our LTL / time slots business model.

We are not going to fit a couch you couldn't get upstairs with all of your buddies (no porch), or a queen box sping going to the cellar of an 18-th century brick buiding on Beacon Hill. Always consider dinensions and your unique situation prior to purchasing an item.

Newsflash 3

We are providing dedicated LTL service to the metro Boston, Ma buyers and sellers. Less than truck load (LTL) is an alternative to major carriers, parcel carriers and full service moving companies. Our LTL niche saves $ and makes deals happen.

Plan, plan, plan. E-mail us with the listing you're interested in. We'll get you the exact price. (or play with the on-line calculations, without hitting submit) Get your negotiations completed with a couple of alternate time slots. Book your slot. The highest satisfaction customer ratio is achieved on orders placed 3-4 days in advance.

We're in the business of making it happen. What good is a good deal if one can't get it home at a good price? Shop around on http://boston.craigslist.org/, and when you are ready, book the timeslot convenient for both parties.

Funny e-mail today...

I got a SITUATION.

Vinnie just whacked a guy and we ain't got no truck to get the body out.

Do you do disposal as well?

Well pay more of course.

If you can do it after sundown that'd be best. We got some looky-loo neighbors.

Eh, get back to me soon.

Place is starting to stink and the dude's arm won't stay down.

Don't be like that guy!

This is an actual pic we took on RT 3 North (on our way to Nashua, NH) this past weeknd during one of this summer's flash storms...

Needless to say, this glass & pressed wood entertainment center will require major cleaning upon arrival.

Do's and Don'ts

Do's and Don'ts

...or what we've learned from experience...

Do

  • e-mail for an exact quote on a specific item at a specific location
  • call during the day when you're expecting us.
  • call to confirm same-day bookings
  • make arrangements for service elevator/loading dock at downtown high-rise buildings
  • do be there
  • make sure that you have all the keys
  • make sure that what you're getting fits through your doors

...and a few of the don'ts...

Don'ts

  • call with uncertain plans for non-specific items and locations
  • confuse the LTL with a full service move
  • be realistic about our business model: no items over 200 pounds
  • put us in a position to fail

I got the same email from a person named Arianna Greenan, as a response from my craiglist inquiry. Unfortunatelly, I sent the money already through Western Union. After they received the money, the sent me a tracking number for the shipment. Today is the second day after I got that tracking number and somehow the status has been the same for the last 2 days. I called TNT and they said they do not have that service. The tracking number is not even what TNT use. I emailed the "customer department" but my emails bounched back saying a permanen failure.

I should have known this, unfortunaly late ------ but the bottom line is - we should convince ourselves that craiglist is facilitating a LOCAL transation and we should not send money to unknown people, moreover internationally. US police cannot do much with international fraud.

I have attached some pics with the laptop here http://www.photoworks.com/photo-sharing/shareSignin.jsp?shareCode=AF68893C926&cp=ems_shr_alb_pml&cb=PW so you can see the condition of the laptop, and I hope we can work out a deal.
